Cepetor

Medetomidine* hydrochloride injection – 1 mg/mL

Sedative and analgesic for dogs

Cepetor is indicated for use as a sedative and analgesic to facilitate
clinical examinations, clinical procedures, minor surgical procedures
with the exception of those requiring muscle relaxation, and minor
dental procedures where intubation is not required, in dogs over 12
weeks of age. The IV route of administration is more efficacious for
dental care.

Dosage and Administration:
Cepetor should be administered at the rate of 750 ug IV or 1,000
ug IM per square meter of body surface. See chart to the right.

Revertor

Atipamezole hydrochloride injection – 5 mg/mL
Medetomidine reversal agent for dogs

Revertor is indicated for the reversal of the clinical effects of the
sedative and analgesic agent, medetomidine hydrochloride, in dogs.

Dosage and Administration:
Revertor is administered intramuscularly regardless of the route used
for medetomidine hydrochloride. The concentration of Revertor has
been formulated such that the volume of injection is the same (mL for
mL) as the recommended dose volume of medetomidine hydrochloride,
and may be given at any time following medetomidine hydrochloride
administration. Although injection volumes are the same, the concentration
of Revertor (5.0 mg/mL) is 5 times that of medetomidine hydrochloride
(1.0 mg/mL). Dogs that are sedated but ambulatory may be
treated with Revertor , if warranted. The dosage of Revertor is
calculated based upon body surface area. See chart to the right.
